Get ready to don your finest attire and enjoy Derby Day in style!
This is the first event in our exciting 2025 social calendar, promising a day full of fun, jubilation, and, of course, the thrill of the races. Whether you're a veteran of Derby Day traditions or experiencing it for the first time, we assure you a memorable experience awaits.
Let's dive into what you can expect at this year’s Run for the Roses!
A Festive Atmosphere
Derby Day is more than just a horse race. It’s a joyful celebration filled with history and tradition. The atmosphere will be brimming with excitement! We invite all residents to join the festivities, ensuring a day teeming with fun.
This year, we have prepared an array of entertainment options. Expect engaging games, a mouthwatering menu, and refreshing Mint Juleps, all while you cheer on your favorite thoroughbreds on the big screen. Each aspect of the celebration has been carefully thought out to reflect the grandeur of the Kentucky Derby.

Wear Your Best Derby Attire
No Derby Day would be complete without a stunning fashion statement. We encourage residents to wear their favorite hats, stylish bow ties, or come just as they are!
Hats are a staple of Derby Day culture. Whether you choose a classic wide-brimmed hat or an extravagant creation, your unique style will enhance the event. This is not just about fashion; it’s about self-expression.
Dressing up offers fantastic photo opportunities, ensuring you capture memories that will last a lifetime.

The Big Race and Activities
At the heart of the celebration is, of course, the big race! Anticipation builds as the thoroughbreds charge down the track. Whether you’re passionate about horse racing or simply love an opportunity to dress up, this event promises to deliver thrill.
But the excitement doesn’t stop with the race itself. We feel it is important to offer multiple ways to enjoy the event. We created unique Kentucky Derby-inspired Bingo cards so that people have the option to play while waiting on the official race to start.
Here’s how to play Bingo. If the TV commentator mentions a word on your card, then check the box. The first one to get 5 in a row Wins!

Food and Drink
We've worked with the Social Committee of the HOA board to create a menu. Throughout the event, we’ll serve refreshing Mint Juleps—the traditional cocktail of Derby Day.
Event Setup and Breakdown
You don’t have to worry about logistics. Our dedicated team will handle everything from setup to breakdown. This means you can focus solely on enjoying the event.
Thank you,
Kelli
